Cranial Prosthesis Wigs
A hair prosthesis (or cranial prosthesis) is a custom-made wig specifically designed for patients who have lost their hair as a result of medical conditions or treatments, such as alopecia areata, alopecia totalis, trichotillomania, chemotherapy, or any other clinical disease or treatment resulting in hair loss. There are more and more companies that are offering solutions for customers and since the customer normally would have undergone trauma the various companies who offer solutions are starting to understand the customer’s needs better.
Today I would like to talk about Malaysia Hair Imports who have been actively assisting their customers and helping them, to gain their confidence back. They cater to Women, Men & Kids and all these types of wigs are custom made to ensure 100% satisfaction. This niche market is growing and we are starting to see more and more companies cater to this market.
Malaysia Hair only uses 100% human hair to manufacture their wigs and as a result, the Cranial Prosthesis finished product is a completely natural-looking breathable wig unit that sits comfortably on the scalp and can be styled and colored just as you would do with your normal hair.
Losing hair through medical treatments or unforeseen circumstances can cause extreme anxiety and stress and the most important part is to make sure the company you choose really does provide you with a quality product.
I have seen that many companies offer cheaper alternatives but they always mix the hair with synthetic fibers, and chemicals. This unfortunately eventually will disappoint you as you won’t have the freedom or enjoy longevity with this product and in general, you would most likely have to replace the entire unit sooner than you would imagine. It is important to do extensive research before making your decision on which company to choose.
Another company who is also catering to this market is Vitas Hair Studio they also make quality Cranial Prosthesis and use 100% Human hair. My vote of choice though is Malaysia Hair due to their attentive after-sales service assistance and advice.
A cranial hair prosthesis is a wig designed specifically for those suffering from hair loss due to medical conditions. Unlike an off-the-shelf wig, each prosthesis is custom made to fit.
For decades, cranial prosthesis wigs have been helping women fight hair loss triggered by certain medical conditions. These custom wigs help restore confidence damaged by chronic hair fall out. And, they assist in the recovery from numerous medical conditions. These include alopecia areata, thyroid problems, cancer and other illnesses and medical conditions.
However, choosing the right cranial prosthesis wig base types can become an overwhelming process. After all, there are literally hundreds of thousands of cranial prosthesis wigs available online. That’s why we decided to list some of the base types for you.
PROSTHESIS WIG BASE TYPES
Here are a few examples of base materials for cranial prothesis wigs:
If you have to apply a cream or get injections to your scalp, this type of base is a viable option. It’s also ideal for people with thinning hair. It allows you to pull your existing hair through the unit. Your natural hair is combined with the hair in the wig to create more volume and complete head of hair.
This type of base gives the appearance that the hair is growing from the scalp. Breathable, thin fabric is placed at the prosthesis hairline or the front of the head. There’s ample ventilation and comfort at the base top. It will breathe while being worn which prevents itchiness and irritation. Also, due to the ventilation, it will prevent moisture buildup and heat.
LACE FRONT & FULL LACE PROSTHESIS WIG BASE TYPES
Lace front base uses very thin lace across the front of the hair prosthesis. This gives the illusion of a natural hairline. However, you can only part your prosthesis in the front. There, it can be parted in the middle, either side, bang parts and can be put up into a ponytail or bun.
The full lace base offers the most flexibility for styling your hair prosthesis. The lace covers the entire base cap. Therefore, you can part your hair anywhere you like and create unlimited hairstyles.
WHAT IS REMY HAIR?
Remy hair is considered to be the finest quality of human hair. The term “Remy” means all the hair cuticles are healthy, intact, and flow in the same direction from the root to the tip. The cuticle is the outer layer of the hair strand and the structure is similar to the overlapping of shingles on a rooftop. Remy hair is typically collected directly from a woman’s head, and as it is cut it is held in a ponytail to ensure no hair strands fall to the floor. Remy hair will also last longer than non-Remy hair. Therefore, it can be reused, flat ironed, and colored.
HOW TO MEASURE THE LENGTH OF YOUR HAIR?
Each texture must be measured differently. The Braziilian hair extensions should be measured to the fall of the hair. Start 0 at the weft and measure to the ends of the bundle. The Brazilian Wavy and Brazilian Curly hair extensions must be measured by pulling the hair straight. Again, start 0 at the weft; pull the hair straight from the ends, and the length will be at the tips of the hair. Each bundle will not measure exact when it is still wrapped in its band, as tension can affect the fall of each strand.
CAN THE HAIR BE STRAIGHTENED OR CURLED?
Your new Hairutopia virgin hair extensions can be treated as if it is your own hair. You are able to use a thermal (hot) tool to straighten, curl, crimp, etc. Keep in mind the hair does not have all the nutrients that a strand growing from your scalp will. Heat damage can cause breakage and dryness. Therefore, it is imperative that you use a heat-protecting product, always co-wash your hair, and protect it during sleep hours.
CAN I COLOR MY NEW HAIR?
Any chemical processes should be done by a professional or at least consulted by one. This purchase is an investment for you and chemically altering the hair can possibly damage it. Though, our virgin hair extensions can handle a coloring process very well, please be cautious. Once the hair is chemically altered incorrectly, the cuticle can become damaged and overexposed causing fraying, breakage, dryness, and tangling. This in turn will affect the overall look and feel of your hair. Chemical damage has no reverse button.
Minimally, no hair is absolutely perfect (Any company who states this phrase, as sales pitch is not being honest. Our company is an honest supplier). We have reinforced machine wefting, to minimize shedding to nearly none. You may see a few strands here or there, but nothing troubling. The most effective way to avoid shedding is by sealing the wefts.
WHAT DOES CO-WASH MEAN?
Co-washing simply means conditioner washing. It is a key task in extending the life of your extensions and keeping them healthy. We recommend a co-wash once a week with moisturizing conditioner to ensure your hair gets the nutrients and moisture it needs. When you first receive your extensions it is important to co-wash the hair as it has been through HHC employee hands, manufacturers’ hands, packaging, etc. Shampooing the hair can strip the hair entirely too much. Always use WARM water, as hot water will overexpose the cuticle of the hair.
HOW MANY BUNDLES SHOULD I ORDER?
The key to determining how many bundles to purchase depends on the lengths you are wanting. The longer bundles have a shorter weft/track as the shorter bundles have longer wefts/tracks.
The amount of hair you will need will depend on how full you would like your hair and the length you desire. Here is a general rule we use:
12″ – 14″ 2 Bundles
16″ – 22″ 3 Bundles
24″ – 30″ 4-5 Bundles
